FILM fans and families are being invited to take part in a special event as part of continuing celebrations to mark the centenary of Clevedon’s Curzon cinema.
On July 8, a fancy dress parade will begin at the bandstand in Elton Road at 2pm and will travel along the seafront and through the town to the Old Church Road building.
Children and adults are invited to dress up as their favourite film characters for the parade, which will be followed by a screening of the classic film, The Wizard of Oz (U) at 3pm.
Starring Judy Garland as the Kansas girl who is swept into the fantasy land of Oz by a tornado, those taking part in the parade can watch the film for free.
