DRESSED as colourful pantomime characters, swimmers took to the water in Clevedon for the annual New Year’s Day swim.
Organised by the Middle Yeo Surf Life Saving Club, the event saw more than 30 swimmers parade from Campbell’s Landing pub to the beach singing songs before running into the cold sea.
Money raised on the day will go to Clevedon Community Centre’s renovation fund.
One swimmer, Viv McConnnell from Clevedon, took part in the swim to begin a year of fundraising toward domestic abuse charities in the area.
