The fundraising event, which saw participants run from The Salthouse pub to the town centre and back, was held on Saturday to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation and was organised by Tommy Gibson.

Next month, the 32-year-old from Clevedon will take part in his first ever boxing match after signing up to Zero to Hero, a scheme which sees amateurs take part in a rigorous, 10-week training programme before going against each other in the ring.

Tommy is taking part in the challenge along with his friends, Luke O’Brien and Joe Woodman, also from Clevedon.

He is being trained by martial arts expert Andy Cleeves who runs The Fitness Hub in Portishead and hopes to raise £5,000 for Make a Wish Foundation by the end of it all.
