A NEW organisation set up to put on adult education courses in Clevedon has seen a successful start to its programme.

Clevedon Adult Study Association (CASA) was created by residents wanting to restore opportunities for adults to learn new topics in the town.

On October 1, the first course began entitled The History of British Cinema and this will run weekly until October 22.

On November 15, 17 and 29 the first literature course, entitled Clevedon’s Literary Links, will take place and there are still some spaces available.

A coffee morning in September launched the CASA project and its success resulted in ideas for future courses being put forward including art, making stained glass, British social history, geology and European and Hollywood cinema.

Anyone wishing to find out more about CASA and the courses it plans to put on can call Pat on 01275 87534 or Maggie on 877180.
