Pasta, biscuits and tinned food have been piling up in Nailsea School as students support World Food Day.

Pupils have donated a wide range of items to the Trussell Trust charity which operates several foodbanks in the area.

The student council organised the contributions and boxed up the donations ready to be delivered to the foodbank.

Student presidents Anne Dumbell and Alex George said: “We are thrilled to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause. We are incredibly pleased with the enthusiastic response from so many of the students to help out.”
