BARROW Gurney Parish Council’s chairman, Geoff Coombs, has stepped down following his election as a North Somerset councillor for Backwell.
Geoff has been chairman for more than 10 years and will remain on the parish council. Monday’s meeting was chaired by deputy chairman Eric Gates.
A new chairman will be elected at the next parish council meeting on November 14.
