Staff strip off for charity calendar
MEMBERS of staff at a Portishead DIY store have launched their 2011 calendar in a bid to raise 3,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Workers at Homebase, in Wyndham Way, stripped off for a naked calendar as part of their fund-raising efforts, using strategically placed stock to avoid any embarrassment.
Portishead’s carnival king and celebrity Homebase customer service assistant, Nigel Parker is Mr December. Nigel attracted huge crowds when he switched on Portishead Christmas lights last year after a Facebook campaign to see him get the job.
One thousand copies of the calendar have been printed and are now on sale at the Homebase checkouts at a price of 5.
