Families can hunt around Nailsea looking for scarecrows this weekend.

Golden Valley School Association is running a scarecrow trail on Saturday and Sunday to raise money for school funds.

There are 41 figures to find and trail maps are on sale for £2 at Coates House, in High Street, and the Royal Mail delivery office, in Crown Glass Shopping Centre.

The scarecrows are dressed on the theme of heroes from the sporting world, stories and history.

A 5km run is also being held on Saturday at 9am, starting at Golden Valley School, in Nailsea Park. Entrance is £3.

People who fill in the trail form correctly will be entered into a prize draw and families will also be able to vote for their favourite scarecrow.
