A ‘caring and conscientious’ girl has had get her long hair chopped for charity.

Seven-year-old Sienna Commons had more than 10 inches of her hair cut off for The Little Princess Trust.

The St John's Primary School pupil decided to do extra fundraising to go alongside her hair donation – which will be used to make wigs for children with cancer.

Despite setting a target of £50, the Clevedon youngster has gone on to raise almost £565. Friends, family and a bake sale helped Sienna raise the money, as well as a £100 gift from PB Design.

Her mother, Sami Commons, said: “Sienna is a very caring and conscientious little girl and loves to think she is helping others in some way.

“We really are very proud of her.”
