TRADERS in Portishead have teamed up to put on an Easter trail to encourage people to shop locally.

Easter egg posters, coloured by Portishead Primary School pupils, have been hidden in a number of shops and customers can win prizes by taking part in the trail.

Tanya Marriott, who owns Solelution shoe shop in High Street, has organised the event. She said: “The trail is a fun activity for all the family that will hopefully get people walking about, calling in at local shops and businesses to see what they have to offer.

“There are lots of prizes, ranging from days out to shopping vouchers, to be won and with a £1 entry fee the trail will raise money for Springboard Opportunity Group and Children’s Hospice South West.”

The trail, which begins and ends at the shoe shop, takes place on March 28. Any businesses interested in taking part can email Tanya at enquiries@solelution.co.uk
