MEMBERS of Clevedon Ladies Circle collected £450 in donations from shoppers at the town’s Tesco store.

Over a weekend, the women collected the money for Barnardo’s children’s charity.

Clevedon Ladies Circle chairman Jane Geldart said: “The generous donations will help thousands of disadvantaged children who rely on Barnardo’s.

“The charity currently runs 10 projects in Bristol ensuring the most vulnerable children, young people and their families get the right start in life. I know this money will really help.”
