A SHOPLIFTER made a quick getaway after stealing items from a Pill shop.
At about 11.40am today (Thurs) police were called to the Co-operative store in Station Road after a man walked in and attempted to steal three bottles of champagne.
After being challenged by a member of staff, which it is believed resulted in a small tussle, the culprit jumped into an awaiting Citroen van and fled the scene.
