BARGAIN hunters are being asked to ‘shop local’ this Christmas.
North Somerset Council is asking shoppers to look close to home this festive season.
The shop local in North Somerset campaign was launched last year by the local authority to promote independent shops.
In the lead-up to Christmas businesses across North Somerset have been actively supporting the campaign.
Portishead Chamber of Commerce has produced a leaflet with information on opening times and a map detailing the shops on offer, which went out to residents.
