MORE than 30 exhibitors took part in a prestigious maritime event in Portishead on Saturday.
The South West Ship Show was held at Parish Wharf Leisure Centre in Harbour Road, with a huge range of stalls boasting models and shipping memorabilia.
Organised by Bernard McCall of Coastal Shipping in Portishead, the event attracted groups and boat enthusiasts from across the region.
As part of the show, a model boat found at the bottom of a lake in the town was put on display after being restored by Ivor Powell, who has also identified which kit it was made from and the boat’s name - a typical Dutch trawler called Progress 5.
