A VOLUNTEER at a Clevedon children’s charity has raised hundreds during the London 10k running event.
Sheila Anderson took part in the race on May 27 and completed the course in one hour and 14 minutes.
The 64-year-old of Shelley Avenue, Clevedon, managed to raise 250 for Springboard Opportunity Group, which is based in Princes Road and provides specialist play sessions for children aged up to five with additional needs.
Sheila, who is a member of Clevedon Ladies Running Group, said: “I wish my PE teacher could see me now, she wouldn’t believe it.
“It was exciting to follow some of the route of the London Olympic marathon too.”
