CAMPAIGNERS fighting to keep a coastal footpath open are calling to have their voice heard.
The path which links Portishead’s marina with Portbury was fenced off and a padlock gate put in place earlier this year. Walkers are furious and have been gathering evidence to prove its use as a public footpath over the past century.
Residents want to discuss their case at the annual general meeting of the Portbury Sea Wall Commission on July 4 at 2pm at the Albright and Wilson Building in Portishead, but many have been told they are not welcome. Only those who have a legal interest in property in the new development can attend the meeting.
