Scouts appeal for groups and schools to sign up to Nailsea Carnival

A scout group from Nailsea is busy preparing for this year's carnival.

First Nailsea Scout Group organises the event of behalf of Nailsea Town Council and hundreds of people flock to the festival to enjoy some family fun.

Nailsea Carnival is taking place on July 7 and groups, schools and preschools are being encouraged to sign up for the event.

The procession starts at 1pm from Clevedon Road car park and makes its way through the town, finishing at Millennium Green, in Brockway.

Stalls, entertainment, a barbecue and beer and tea tents are just some of the attractions which will be waiting for revellers when they reach the green.

Previous carnival entries have included stormtroopers, Disney characters and minions. Last year’s event raised £8,900 for club funds.
