A PORTISHEAD schoolboy is helping to keep the town’s railway campaign on track by making a video.
Seven-year-old James Northcombe has had a love of trains from an early age and says he would love nothing better than to see trains pulling into a station in Portishead.
His interest in the campaign to reopen the Portishead to Bristol line led him to make a six-minute film about the Portishead railway, in which he traces its origins and explains why Portishead needs a rail link once again. James and his family members also trace the missing section of line and uncover hidden tracks from the original railway line.

Jane said: “We’ve received dozens of amazing comments from members of the public since the video went live and the Portishead Railway Group has said they think it will help the cause - this has pleased James enormously.”
