A WHOPPING 1,200 was raised for a children’s charity during a mini-mall night at a Nailsea hair salon.
The event was held at SP Hair Company in High Street on Thursday, with ticket-holders given a glass of bubbly to enjoy while they browsed stalls set up by local businesses.
As well as getting some Christmas shopping done, customers could also watch demonstrations by staff from the Beauty Rooms and take part in a raffle.
The 1,200 will now be donated to Children’s Hospice South West, which runs Charlton Farm in Wraxall and supports children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses and their families.
