Rugby players donate to charity

A YOUNG rugby team has donated £500 to charity and raised enough money to buy themselves a new kit.

Nailsea and Backwell Rugby Club’s under 13s team held a silent auction to raise money for their new away kit.

Businesses including Burdens, Tall Pines, Goulds and H Sweet provided items for auction and the team managed to raise more than they needed.

The generous youngsters decided to donate the excess money to Tenovous to support the testicular cancer awareness campaign.

Nailsea and Backwell under 13s would like to thank all their sponsors and supporters for their generosity.
