TEACHERS and pupils from a Portishead school have rowed the equivalent distance of travelling from the North Somerset town to Cardiff.

Headteacher Graham Bottrill and PE teacher John Macey from Quayside School in Combe Road took part in the row at Better Bodies Gym along with pupils.

They managed to complete the challenge on two machines in two hours.

More than £300 was raised and proceeds will go to the Children’s Hospice South West, which runs Charlton Farm in Wraxall.
