A CUP for Outstanding Rotarian of the Year has been awarded to a Backwell man who has been a member for almost 40 years.
Ted Potter, who is currently joint treasurer of Nailsea and Backwell Rotary Club first joined a branch in Torquay in 1976.
The grandfather-of-six and former Backwell School governor was president of Nailsea and Backwell branch in 1995-96, and has been awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by Rotary International.
