Clevedon Rotary Club has organised an abseil event in Uphill Quarry, Weston, in May to raise money for participants’ chosen charities.

Yvonne Kingston, club president, said: “We wanted to run an event which allows people to do something they wouldn’t normally do, have some fun, but more importantly raise money for their own worthwhile causes.

“We are making a small charge to cover our costs with any residue being used to support our local rotary charitable works.”

Taking part costs £25 per person or £40 for two people. To book a place or to find out more information visit www.clevedonyeorotary.org.uk, call Steve Molloy on 01934 834412 or call Richard Johnson on 01275 873475.
