A DEDICATED Rotarian walked 33 miles from Bath to Nailsea to raise money for a hospital in Zanzibar.
Mike Hatch, aged 60, was presented with a bottle of champagne, a certificate and friendly cheers when he arrived in Somerset Square, Nailsea, at the end of his walk.
He was accompanied for half the distance by fellow walker Pat Kirby and Flax Bourton Rotarians Graham, Hunt, Chris Perry and John Upward.
Mike has raised almost 2,000 for the Makunduchi Project with the walk. The money raised will go towards the club’s next target of raising 7,000 for new lighting in the hospital’s operating theatre.
