RESIDENTS across North Somerset will be breaking out the bunting and celebrating all things royal when the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton takes place on Friday.

As well as many people organising parties at their homes to watch the day unfold, residents in towns and villages across the district have applied to North Somerset Council for permission to close their road so street parties and community celebrations to take place.

The road closures confirmed include: Debeccas Lane in Easton-in-Gordano, Porlock Gardens in Nailsea, Church Path Road and Wilmots Way in Pill, Coleridge Vale Road South, Coleridge Vale Road East, Coleridge Vale Road West and The Tynings in Clevedon and Curlew Place, Woodhill Avenue and Holly Ridge in Portishead.

Road closures have also been applied for in Stonewell Lane in Congresbury, Barnard Close and Derham Park in Yatton and Broad Street in Wrington.
