A busy route which takes people to junction 19 of the M5 will be shut tomorrow (Tuesday) for emergency repairs.

Portbury Lane, which funnels drivers from near Tyntesfield in Wraxall down to the motorway through Portbury, will be shut from 9am-4pm.

The council says it needs to carry out ‘urgent’ emergency repairs to a damaged section of the road and it says essential drainage work is also necessary.

It warns that delays are ‘likely’, as a result.

Drivers will need to use Clevedon Road and Beggar Bush Lane to complete their journeys while the road is closed.
