HARDWORKING members of the Clevedon community were rewarded for their efforts on Sunday.
Clevedon Town Council held a civic service at the Curzon cinema in Old Church Road, when civic awards were handed out by the chairman, Councillor Chris Blades, to people who have made a difference to the area.
Prior to the ceremony the council had asked for people to be nominated for an award.
Alix Blease, Madeleine Barley and Amy Cousins of the Curzon’s youth panel were rewarded for the support they give to the independent cinema and Mike Thomas was rewarded for his work with Clevedon Rugby Club.
Ann Jenkins received an award for 46 years of involvement with the Clevedon Flower Show and John Hulse was rewarded for his dedication to the town’s Royal British Legion branch as well as his work with the hospital transport group, Clevedon Care.
