A LONG-SERVING member of the Royal British Legion Women’s Section (RBLWS) has been rewarded for her selfless efforts.
Carol Dyer from Clevedon was recently presented with a badge of merit at a RBLWS conference by the national chairman Wendy Bromwich.
Mrs Dyer, aged 59 of Kenn Road, has been a part of the association since she was 16 and has helped a great deal in its efforts to raise funds for the wives, widows and children of servicemen and ex-servicemen.
She has been chairman and treasurer of the Clevedon branch, for which she is currently secretary, and has also recently taken on the county treasurer role.
