TWO public halls in Portishead are receiving a makeover.
Refurbishment of the main hall at the Folk Hall in the High Street is on target to be completed by Tuesday. The hall has received a new ceiling which will improve the acoustics, it has been redecorated and more sophisticated lighting has been installed.
Portishead Town Council has also approved up to 7,500 expenditure on Redcliffe Bay Hall in Newhaven Road. The money will be spent on creating an acceptable disabled toilet, as the current one is too small, the installation of baby changing facilities, a new boiler and some replacement windows. Work is expected to begin in the autumn.
