A VICTORIAN style dolls’ house will be raffled to raise money for Portishead Christmas lights.
Flutterbies toy and book shop at 42a High Street has donated the prize to the lights committee as a thank you for such a wonderful display.
Flutterbies owner Lisa Harvey said: “This year the committee has extended the lights to include the row of shops, which includes ours, set back from the High Street at the Old Bake House complex and I wanted to demonstrate our gratitude for this. A lot of people give a great deal of time and effort to ensure Portishead has one of the best Christmas lights displays in the west. I think it’s important that we all provide some support and that local businesses put something back in to the community.”
The draw for the dolls’ house, which retails at around 100, will take place at Flutterbies at 10am on December 19.
Tickets, priced 1, wil be available at Flutterbies and many other Portishead retailers from Friday.
