A RESTAURANT owner in Pill was assaulted by a group of teenagers after he asked them to stop throwing snowballs at his window.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault which took place at about 5.45pm on Tuesday outside the World of Spice restaurant in Pill Street.

The 50-year-old owner saw a group of eight teenagers throwing snowballs at his front window.

When he asked them to stop, two kicked and punched hem and then continued to assault him inside the restaurant.

Fortunately he was not seriously injured.

Later that evening, it is believed the same two men were among a group that returned and threw more snowballs at the building while shouting racist comments toward the owner.
