Regional award for zoo keeper

A ZOO keeper at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in Wraxall has been presented with a top regional award.

Apprentice keeper Will Bradbury, aged 23, has been given the City and Guilds medal for excellence and will now be entered into the national awards, which will be announced in May.

Will was recognised for his excellent achievements in his level two NVQ in animal care, completing the course well within the two-year study allowance while working full time at the zoo.

Will’s personal tutor at Haddon Training, Lucy Jones says: “I am extremely proud of Will’s achievement and feel he has overcome initial obstacles to complete his NVQ2 Animal Care with enthusiasm and professionalism doing a job that he is clearly very good at and takes a lot of pride in.

“Noah’s Ark has consistently given Will maximum support and time to achieve his full potential. Will is thoroughly deserving of this award.”
