A club has begun a series of public consultations on how to design a children’s play area – and more than £6,000 has been raised towards funding the scheme.

Redhill Village Club launched its play area initiative in May last year and is inviting people to attend a consultation this week.

The first phase of public meetings was held in February, where up to 25 people from the village took part in suggesting ideas on how the play area fund should be spent.

The second consultation this week looks set to discuss the play area’s design and what equipment should be included, and a series of drawings detailing the plans will be available to view and be debated.

The meeting is due to take place on Friday evening from 7.15-8.30pm.

For more information about the plans, visit www.wrington.net/organisations/redhillclub or call Bob and Janet Bell on 01934 862376.
