Redhill villagers got together to get rid of the dated equipment on March 30, which is situated near the village hall.

The task saw a tractor prise an old climbing frame and a set of spring bouncers from the ground.

It is estimated volunteers have spent around 100 hours on the revamp so far.

More than £6,800 towards the restoration scheme has been raised, which is on track to hit its target figure to complete the planned works.

The equipment chosen has been decided by people living in Redhill, with consultations being held to pin-point what villagers would like to see from the facility.

The next public meeting will be held on Friday at the hall, in Church Lane, from 8-9.30pm.
