Redcliffe Bay Horticultural Society held its summer show on August 17, with flowers, vegetables, paintings, photographs, and culinary creations up for judging.

Redcliffe Bay Hall, in Portishead, was filled with colour with more than 200 exhibits on show.

The overall winner of the show was Les Hadley, who took home five cups and the Brunel Salver for most points in show.

Edna Burt also performed well, accruing most points in the cooking classes.

Show organiser Hazel Miers said: "The hall was full of people shortly after the show opened at 2pm and we were delighted to see so many new visitors this year.

"Several took time to ask us about the process of entering and we very much hope this interest will continue and that they will join us and exhibit some of their own produce next year."
