Record number of distinctions at music festival

MUSICIANS entering Nailsea Music Festival clocked up the highest number of distinctions ever.

Eight entrants achieved a mark of 90, including one musician who scored 90 in both of their piano classes.

The event, which has been running for eight years, celebrates music and gives people the chance to show off their performance skills.

This year, 146 people entered the festival which comprised 72 classes including singing, piano, music composition and speech and drama.
