A LAUNCH event celebrating the creation of dementia action alliances will be held in Clevedon on Thursday.

Organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, it will take place to give more information about the alliances, which have been set up in Clevedon, Portishead and Worle to improve the experiences of people living with dementia in the district.

The event will be held at the community centre in Princes Road from 10am-1pm and will include talks from three speakers.

It will also publicise a coin recognition chart which will soon be in shops across North Somerset to remind those with dementia of the values of different coins.

Anyone wishing to attend or wanting more details on the coin chart should email north.somerset@alzhiemers.org.uk or call 01934 514977.
