Thundery showers with the potential to cause disruption are predicted to hit North Somerset later today (Tuesday) the Met Office has announced.
August has already got off to a rainy start, and that trend is expected to continue today.
The Met Office has predicted thundery downpours will affect the district between 10.20am and 11.55pm.
The poor weather is coming from the Irish Sea, and will move in a south-easterly direction throughout the day.
A Met Office spokesman said: “While many areas will not see the heaviest rainfall some parts are likely to see some disruption such as longer journey times with localised flooding of land and roads.”
