A FAMILY of royals has been selected to lead a popular annual event in Pill.
The Pill Rag will take place on June 1 when people in fancy dress will parade through the village before a host of celebrations are put on including live music and numerous sideshows.
On Saturday evening, the royal family which will lead the parade was chosen with Celia Roberts as queen, Richard Withers as king, McGurk as queen mother and Pauline Young as attendant.
Also on Saturday, cups were handed out to the winning entrants of last year’s rag and donations of money raised from the event were given to local groups and organisations.
