Pupils raise cash for air ambulance

A HELICOPTER made of coins helped children from Backwell to raise £220 for charity.
Pupils from the school filled a drawing of an air ambulance with pennies to raise money for charity.
The children decided they wanted to raise money for Great Western Air Ambulance after volunteers landed in the school car park at the start of term to attend an accident on Farleigh Road.
Pupils and staff dressed in the helicopter’s colours blue and green and took their spare change into lessons to donate to the cause.
