A DERELICT Pill pub could soon be converted into flats after a planning application was approved.
The proposals to develop the former Railway Inn in Monmouth Road into homes were given the go ahead by North Somerset Councillors on June 8.
The work will see single-storey buildings and outbuildings on the site demolished and a three-story and a two-storey extension created to allow the conversion of the former pub into 11 flats with 14 parking spaces.
The plans have received the backing of Easton-in-Gordano and Pill Parish Council since they were first submitted, with many people in the village keen to see the dilapidated building redeveloped.
At a meeting of North Somerset Council’s planning and regulatory committee, the proposals were approved despite planning officers recommending they be refused.
