A charity in Clevedon held a treasure hunt to raise money for a leading cancer organisation.

Every year Clevedon Yeo Rotary Club organises the event where competitors must take to their cars, travel up and down North Somerset and unravel cryptic clues.

The participants, after their competition, settled down to enjoy a Sunday lunch at the Butchers Arms in Yatton.

It was there the prizes were handed out to the best-performing entrants.

Club president, Tony Carrington, was delighted by the event's success.

He said: "Clevedon Yeo Rotary loves raising money for good causes and having fun at the same time."

Cancer Research UK was supported through the treasure hunt and approximately £150 was raised for its life-saving work.
