A pair of Portishead teenagers are shaving off their hair in the name of charity.

Chloe Beaton and Lucy Edwards will lose their locks on Friday for The Little Princess Trust – which makes wigs for people who have lost hair – while also raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Friend Emma Fidler said: “Each of the girls has lost someone close in the past year to cancer and have decided it is time to fight back.

“Chloe’s nana, Nora, passed away in August 2017 after a three-year battle with the disease.

“Lucy’s auntie Jane passed away when she was younger due to the terrible disease and last month a close family friend, Dean Francis, also lost his battle.”

The pair will be at The Poacher in High Street at 7pm on Friday.
