A vulnerable teenager has gone missing in Portishead, sparking a police appeal.

Theo Young, aged 19, was last seen in Aelfric Meadow at about 11pm on Saturday when he left his home to meet his girlfriend.

However, she said Theo never arrived.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has today (Monday) launched an appeal for information to try to locate him.

Theo is white, 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build and has collar-length dark brown hair which has a centre parting.

A police spokesman added: “When he went missing he was wearing a grey/black camouflage design shirt and black jogging bottoms and training shoes.

“He may also have been wearing a black body warmer and carrying a rucksack.

“Theo may appear to be withdrawn, possibly depressed.

“We are currently searching the Portishead area where we believe he may be, and would like to hear from Theo or anyone who thinks they may have seen him.”

Anyone with information can call 101 and quote reference number 5218157776.
