Viper Innovations, in Portishead, hosted a week of coding classes for youngsters in the past week, learning more about the importance of code to the modern world.

The children took part in Halloween-themed classes which taught them how to make zombie-laden computer games.

Steve Simpson, Viper Innovations’ engineering manager, said: “As a company we are committed to education, whether it is helping those at primary school, supporting students through the Arkwright Scholarships Trust, summer internships, and providing sponsorship for a PHD student to name a few.

“We were excited to sponsor this programme, in particular to encourage young children to get involved in activities which stimulate innovative thinking.”
