Portishead rotarians have enjoyed a visit from representatives of their French twin town.

The Rotary Club of Portishead welcomed residents from Forbach, a communie in the north-eastern region of Grand Est, into their homes.

The two clubs have been twinned for almost 35 years while Portishead members have previously teamed up with groups in Berlin, Dublin, Lille and Ghent.

A spokesman said: “This year the French visitors were entertained by visiting the World Heritage Site of Bath where they not only saw the Roman Baths but also the Jane Austen procession.

“They also participated in meals out and entertainment.”

Portishead members are hoping to return the visit by travelling to Forbach next year.
