Portishead Rotary Club held a barn dance at Somerset Hall on Saturday, as dozens of people enjoyed a fun-filled night and showed off their best moves.

The soundtrack for the evening was provided by the Bristol-based Highly Strung Community Band, which had people up on their feet gleefully dancing along to a medley of up-tempo feel-good tunes.

Revellers also enjoyed a delicious ploughman’s supper at the dance, which is a popular fixture in the town’s calendar.

A number of charities and community projects will benefit from cash raised at the event, including Portishead Youth Club.

The fundraiser will also support the club’s range of competitions for youngsters.
