Portishead Home Show exhibits best home, lifestyle and garden products

A free home and garden exhibition will be held in Portishead on Saturday.

The Portishead Home Show will take place at Somerset Hall in The Precinct.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the exhibition will showcase the best of the area’s home, garden and lifestyle products.

Visitors will also be able to speak to solicitors and estate agents about buying or selling homes and mortgages.

Exhibitors will offer free advice and quotations, as well as some offers exclusive to the show.

The show is put on by Portishead residents Tracie Fry and Tracey Fowler to give hundreds of people the chance to meet the experts behind some successful local businesses.

Tracie said: “This one day only show brings together specialist suppliers promoting and selling a wide variety of excellent quality products, services and inspirational ideas for the home and garden.

“It is a great opportunity to ask questions and find out more about what is on the market and what is on trend.

“Whether you need help making the best out of your space, are looking for a new bathroom or kitchen or want to revamp your garden, there will be someone at the show who can help.

“From conservatories to home accessories, gadgets, interior design and soft furnishings, we want people to come along to the home show and explore some new ideas for their home.

“Hundreds of people attended last year and businesses in High Street said they benefited from the additional footfall so we hope to do the same or even better this year. It really is a great community event.”

Businesses including Star Legal, Reeds Rains and Smart Flooring will have exhibits.

The police and fire service will be in attendance to offer safety and security advice while children can enjoy a free treasure hunt and colouring.

The Portishead Home Show will be open from 10.30am-3.30pm and entry is free. A Macmillan Coffee Morning will also be held to raise money for the cancer charity from 11am-1pm on the day.
