Portishead bus services hit by snow and black ice

Bus services in Portishead have been disrupted due to snow and black ice, as The Beast From The East winter storm hits North Somerset.

First Bus’ X3, X3a And X4 routes are unable to serve the marina, due to the wintry conditions.

The X3 and X3a services are now operating via Harbour Road in both directions.

First is also reporting ‘severe congestion’ on the Long Ashton bypass which is causing 25-minute delays, with the X2, X7 and X8 services diverting via Long Ashton.

An amber warning for snow and ice on Thursday and Friday has been issued for North Somerset by the Met Office.
