Popular nature reserve appeals for more volunteers

A nature reserve in Nailsea is looking for more volunteers to help manage the beauty spot.

Stockway North Nature Reserve holds open days from April to August and attracted 582 visitors this year.

The reserve is home to 180 plants, 35 species of bird and 15 types of butterfly as well as dragonflies, frogs, newts, fungi, mammals and insects.

The beauty spot received its seventh It’s Your Neighbourhood award from The Royal Horticultural Society in 2016/17.
